Travelin!

In my own bed tonight and work in the morning, but the past two weeks have been awesome! I went to Chicago. Never have been there, defiantly worth the trip. I went to go see my friend and to explore the city. It had some good food to. The weather was way better than Florida, it was nice to get away from all the humidity.
Getting there was a trip in it self. My grandma took me to the airport here in Tampa at like 7 in the morning for my flight at 10 30 am... yeah so I get on the plane and everything and it gets canceled due to the weather in Chicago. So I got delayed to go to Miami first at 5 30 pm and then to Chicago. So I chilled at the airport for a good 7 hours or so by myself ( I just watched the movie the crow and finished the book I was reading and just observed people haha) to go to Miami to sit there for another 2 hours and got to Chicago at 11 30 at night, but I made it and the weather was fantastic the whole time I was there so I can't complain.
The food was so different, so was some of the language. I got an Italian beef sandwich, I have never had anything like it in my life. It was really good, and pizza will never be the same for me. Deep dish Chicago Pizza is the best pizza in the world to me at the moment. I couldn't get enough of it. Then the hot dogs. They are made so different, they put a whole kosher pickle on it and it's like a bad thing if you put ketchup on it. it was sooo good. One day I had to get two of them in one sitting, and they are super filling.
Well the city was a lot bigger than I thought it would be in my head. I think Tampa is a big city. It looked like a small town compared to this place, so many places to go, I have never done so much walking in my whole life. I guess that was to burn off all the food I was eating. I rode a subway for my first time to while I was there. We rode it everywhere it was cool to ride, it went underground and everything. That was strange to me how all the buildings were really tall and went underground there were so many secret places it was cool.
Lake Michigan was humongous as well. It looked like a super calm and blue ocean I loved it. Got some rocks from it. It felt really good to, everyone was warning me it was going to be really cold but it felt warmer than when I go swimming in the springs so who knows. The Sears tower was bad ass to. they have this new glass ledge thing that comes outta the windows and you stand out where the city is right below you and you can see everything it was soooo freaky cause you feel like your going to fall. It totally trips you out. It was a really good experience though.
I made a lot of friend's as well, and I fell in love with my friend that I was staying with family. They were really cool to me and had a lot of fun. I'm going to miss them a lot and I really want to visit again. I love my friend's up there so much they were worth going to see :)
I love pen pals and I can't wait to travel more in my life. I have been to a lot of places now that I think bout it. I should make a map and pin it!

Here are some of my favorite pictures I took and were taken with me :)
